Travel is included whether you're local to Nottinghamshire or Leicestershire, or anywhere across the UK. For destination weddings, just get in touch and I'll put together a personalised quote.
What kind of wedding photographer are you?
Candid, creative, and completely unapologetic about it. I capture the real moments, the laughing so hard your mascara runs, the way your partner looks at you when they think nobody's watching, your nan ugly-crying into her hanky. I'm not a "stand here, smile there" kind of photographer. I tell the story of your day as it actually happens, with a splash of creative flair thrown in, think light painting, pyrotechnics (safely and with all the right paperwork, don't worry), sparkler magic, and using whatever your venue has to offer. Bold, personal, and nothing like your mate's wedding photos.
Are you based in Nottinghamshire?
Yep, proudly Nottinghamshire based, and I photograph weddings across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Doncaster, Derby, Mansfield and beyond. I'll travel anywhere in the UK without extra charge, and I'm available for destination weddings worldwide because love doesn't stop at the county border, and neither do I.
How far in advance should I book a wedding photographer?
As soon as you've got your venue and date locked in, ideally 12 to 18 months before your wedding. Popular dates (especially summer Saturdays) go fast, and once your date's gone, it's gone. If your wedding is coming up sooner, don't panic, drop me a message and I'll let you know if I'm available. Last-minute bookings do happen and I love a challenge.
My Style & Approach
What is candid wedding photography?
Candid wedding photography means I capture your day as it actually unfolds, without directing every moment. Instead of posing you every five minutes, I'm in the background, quiet, discreet, watching for the real stuff. The spontaneous laughter, the tears, the kids going feral on the dance floor, the grandad having the time of his life. You'll forget I'm there (that's the goal), but I won't miss a thing.
Do you do any posed shots at all?
Yes — but on your terms and without making it feel like a photoshoot. I'll whisk you away for a short couple session (which is actually just an excuse to give you some quiet time alone together, you're welcome). A few natural prompts, a gorgeous location, and I'll make sure you've got some beautiful shots of just the two of you. No awkward "hold that" or stiff standing-to-attention stuff. Just you, your person, and me finding the best light.
Can we incorporate our hobbies and personalities into the photos?
Absolutely. This is one of my favourite parts. Star Wars fans? Let's get the lightsabers out. Horse lovers? Bring them to the shoot. Gardening, gaming, cooking, your dog, your vintage car, if it's you, it's in. I've done Nigerian outfit changes with creative lighting, rainbow-themed weddings, and couples on bikes at festival-style weddings. The more you it is, the more I love it.
What if our venue isn't very photogenic?
Not a problem, I come prepared. I always bring artificial lighting that can turn any space into something worth remembering, and I'm always hunting for the unexpected angles, textures, and quirks that make a venue interesting. Give me a plain function room and I'll give you something that looks like it belongs in a magazine. I've also been known to pack umbrellas for unpredictable British weather because a bit of rain never ruined a great photo.
Do you work well with neurodivergent couples or people who get anxious on camera?
Yes, and this is something I genuinely care about. If you're neurodivergent, camera-shy, anxious, or just need things to go at a different pace, tell me. I can work quietly, give you more time, build in breathing space, or just be a calm presence in the background. I've helped couples manage nerves on the day, given people quiet time away from the crowd, and made sure the day feels manageable rather than overwhelming. Your wedding should feel good, not stressful, that includes the photographer.
Booking & Planning
How does booking work?
It's pretty straightforward:
- Chat — we arrange a call to see if we're the right fit and confirm your date
- Book — paperwork sorted and a date-holding deposit paid
- Plan — we schedule a venue walkthrough about a month before your day, swap inspiration, and lock in timings
- Wedding day — you enjoy every second, I've got the rest covered
- Aftercare — editing starts, then we catch up to go over albums, prints, or any extras
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
I pack umbrellas. Always. Rain doesn't ruin photos. honestly, some of my favourite shots have come from soggy days. Dramatic skies, reflections in puddles, the two of you laughing in the rain. it's all good material. I plan timelines around the light and weather where possible, and I'll adapt on the day if things change. You won't even notice I'm problem-solving.
Do you do a venue visit beforehand?
Yes about a month before your wedding, I'll do a walkthrough with you. This is where I scout the light, find those hidden spots you'd never think of, and get a feel for the layout so on the day I'm not wasting a single minute figuring out where things are. Think of it as me doing my homework so your day runs smoother.
Can you travel for destination weddings?
Absolutely. I'm based in Nottinghamshire but I photograph weddings across the UK without any extra travel charge. For international destinations, I'm available worldwide. Just get in touch and I'll put together a personalised quote covering travel and accommodation. The world's a big place and I love a new backdrop.
The Photos
How many photos will we receive?
This varies depending on your package and the length of your day, but you can expect a full, edited gallery that tells the complete story from the getting-ready nerves right through to the dance floor chaos. Every image is edited by me personally. No rushed bulk exports, no inconsistent filters, just considered, consistent editing that looks like the day actually looked.
How long does editing take?
I'll give you a more specific timeline when we book, as it depends on the time of year and how many weddings I'm editing around yours. I'll always keep you updated and I do a proper job, no cutting corners on the editing just to get it turned around faster.
What format do we receive the photos in?
Depending on your package: high-resolution digital files on USB, an online gallery for easy sharing with family and friends, or both. Some packages also include a beautifully designed art book, wall art, or a short video reel made from clips of your day. Your online gallery also lets guests order their own prints directly.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?
Always and proudly. Love is love, and every couple deserves photos that truly reflect who they are. My work celebrates all couples, I've had the honour of photographing LGBTQ+ weddings and I'd be over the moon to photograph yours.
One More Thing
Why should we choose you over another photographer?
Honestly? Don't just take my word for it, look at the real reviews from past couples and decide for yourself. What I can tell you is that I don't just show up, shoot, and leave. I pour myself into every wedding. I'll help keep your day running smoothly, calm the nerves, wrangle the guests, and make sure you actually enjoy it. I know how much your photos matter, not just now, but for the people who come after you. That's why I treat every single shot like it counts.
